fjör was born out of a mission to solve the growing microbiome diversity crisis and redefine how we approach skin health.
The modern skincare industry has overcomplicated the essentials, stripping the skin of its natural resilience in the name of short-term fixes. But skin health is not about endless routines or masking issues.
It is about restoring balance at the root.
I have never been a makeup person. Spending time concealing has always felt secondary to investing in skin health itself.
Growing up, I watched my mother and grandmother navigate their own skin struggles, and that experience stayed with me.
It motivated me to think: if I could help even one person feel truly confident in their skin, I would know I was doing something meaningful.
This journey has been more than launching a brand. It has been about purpose. About bringing scientific innovation into everyday skincare and designing solutions that actually work with the skin, not against it.
Our formulations are built to support microbiome resilience, ensuring that sensitive skin is not just soothed in the moment but strengthened for the long run.
My background, a blend of Swedish and Malaysian heritage, raised in Singapore, has shaped the way I see the world. This global perspective fuels fjör. We take the purity of Nordic simplicity and pair it with cutting-edge microbiome science to create skincare that does more with less.
For those of us living in cities, surrounded by synthetic cosmetics, pollution, poor diet and stress, fjör is an extension of nature in every bottle. A way to restore the skin’s natural defenses and bring back what urban life might strip away.
This journey has been more than launching fjör is not just about skincare. It is about solving one of the biggest, most overlooked challenges in dermatology today: restoring the skin’s ability to protect itself.
